Britney Spears efforts to reconcile with Kevin Federline for her family sake came to an end on Monday when they were officially divorced.

“They are divorced,” the pop stars attorney, Laura Wasser, said after a Superior Court hearing. “Everything is finalized.”

Court Commissioner Scott Gordon signed orders for an alimony agreement and child custody.
Spears had married Federline in October 2004, after her first marriage to childhood friend Jason Alexander was annulled. The couple had filed for divorce in November 2007 due to irreconcilable differences.
They continue to share joint custody of their two children and Britney reportedly wants to spend more time with them.
The alimony agreement will not be made public unless there is an enforcement issue, Wasser said but it is reported that it is mostly prenuptial.
