She did it. Young 17 year old Jamie Lynn Spears, actress from the Disney channel show “Zoey 101” and sister to Wild Britney Spears, gave birth recently on June 19, 2008 in a Mississippi Hospital. Back in December, the young girl publicly told everyone that she was pregnant and that she would be expecting to give birth in the early summer of 2008. At first, I think everyone was shocked. Some speculated that she shouldn’t be on Disney anymore because she wasn’t a “true” role model to young children in America.

However, between the months of the pregnancy, the press seems to have died down about it. I know it came as no surprise to me because something is always happening with the Spears family. Jamie Lynn gave birth to a 7lb 11oz baby girl, who after she was born, was named Maddie Briann. Both the father and fiancé, Casey Aldrige was there, waiting nervously as the baby was born. Jamie Lynn’s Mom was there as well with her older sister, Britney, to support the young girl as she gave birth, stating that Jamie Lynn will “be a great mom!” but is Britney really the best one to give a statement like that? I guess we will just have to wait and see how much of one sister transfers over to the other.

    A baby had a baby, oh boy. Hope that somehow this kid turns out well adjusted. More teen girls need to watch shows like The Baby Borrowers, or i don’t know, get some freakin common sense.

    Show is one nickelodeon. Just had to point that out because in annoyed me. But good to know about the baby and I think its great that the press let up on it, a 17-year-old pregnant girl doesn’t need anymore stress then she already got herself into.
