Okay okay… so maybe it wasn’t exactly Britney Spears herself.  Of course, we wouldn’t want her to lose her head again (no pun intended) but once again Britney’s found herself in a mix of trouble.  Her return to Los Angeles, after visiting Jamie Lynn’s birth, wasn’t your average welcome party. Then again, she is a celebrity icon and how wouldn’t she be swarmed by a mass amount of photographers and reporters? It just wouldn’t be right if they didn’t want to take her picture. I mean who could pass up the chance to possibly get another famous shot of her private (or not so private) parts?

It was reported that one of her bodyguards had pushed a photographer in the face, as over 30 photographers quickly caved around her vehicle near the terminal.  Whether I’m partial to the photographer’s side or Britney’s bodyguard, I do have to laugh as the photographer made quite a BIG deal about a ‘slight mark’ left on his cheek.  I mean come on! He’s part of the paparazzi, and he’ll take any ridiculous incident as a way to demean celebrities and earn money off from them.  In the aftermath, no charges were filed and apologizes were made. Hell, they even gave each other a handshake! Honestly, why didn’t the police intervene in the beginning BEFORE Britney arrived?  It’s called strategic planning folks!

Ed McMahon Fallen on Hard Times

Ed McMahon bravely speaks out about his financial troubles to the press worldwide.  McMahon has fallen in a financial slump with Citibank, suing the former Tonight Show and Star Search host at least $200,000.  It’s also been reported that he’s $644,000 behind on payments for his Beverly Hills home.  McMahon and his wife, Pam, have lived in their home since 1991, and now they’re worrying about foreclosure.  The 85 year old legend has lately been seen wearing a neck brace, after breaking his neck 18 months ago and is due for surgery.  As a result of his injury, it’s brought difficult times for McMahon to pitch any shows, making it harder for the star to earn any income to pay for his debts. It seems like Ed McMahon has become part of the viscous circle the rest of America seems to be facing. Times are hard and it just goes to show not even the celebrities are safe from financial issues.

Admittedly, McMahon declares that his financial debt is due to his own faults.  He says, with a smile on NBC, that he has a hard time saying “No” to ideas that just seem ‘to good’ to pass up but end up not working out.  Alas, McMahon’s not giving his hopes up!  With generous friends, such as Jay Leno, he’s keeping his chin up.

She did it. Young 17 year old Jamie Lynn Spears, actress from the Disney channel show “Zoey 101” and sister to Wild Britney Spears, gave birth recently on June 19, 2008 in a Mississippi Hospital. Back in December, the young girl publicly told everyone that she was pregnant and that she would be expecting to give birth in the early summer of 2008. At first, I think everyone was shocked. Some speculated that she shouldn’t be on Disney anymore because she wasn’t a “true” role model to young children in America.

However, between the months of the pregnancy, the press seems to have died down about it. I know it came as no surprise to me because something is always happening with the Spears family. Jamie Lynn gave birth to a 7lb 11oz baby girl, who after she was born, was named Maddie Briann. Both the father and fiancé, Casey Aldrige was there, waiting nervously as the baby was born. Jamie Lynn’s Mom was there as well with her older sister, Britney, to support the young girl as she gave birth, stating that Jamie Lynn will “be a great mom!” but is Britney really the best one to give a statement like that? I guess we will just have to wait and see how much of one sister transfers over to the other.

Okay, okay. So as if Angelina didn’t think she had enough kids already…the actress and her husband Brad Pitt, are expecting to have twin babies in August of this year. So what’s the upcoming number on their Bragelina family? It’s a total of SIX children! May I say…Brady Bunch anyone?

So what about Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh? Not to worry! The lovely couple makes sure to spend lots of quality time with their children, not wanting to make the kids feel left out because of their upcoming duo siblings. On the other hand, Angelina’s not having much to do around the house. Luckily, father Brad Pitt’s doing more than just the hefty movie work, but helping to do all the “heavy lifting” around the house. Need I say “Jack-of-all” trades? And I don’t just mean taking care of the kids either. I hear sex during pregnancy helps in many ways, and certainly for their “creative lifestyle.”

Angelina has stated that both her and Brad weren’t expecting to have twins, but they were both up for the challenge. I mean come on? If these two can withstand the press being continuously over their family, and even down to the nitty-gritty of what they eat for breakfast, then surely a total of six children should be a piece of cake!

Is Linda Hogan losing it?

Perhaps so. In November 2007, 49 year old Linda Hogan filed for divorce after 24 years of marriage to wrestling star, Hulk Hogan. Many speculated that a divorce would soon occur after seeing several feuding tidbits of the couple on the family’s reality television show Hogan Knows Best. Which to me, is crazy. If you know you and your spouse are having issues why in the world would you put it on national television for the entire world to see? Talk about airing your dirty laundry.

I remember watching the show and thinking how they just wouldn’t last, how it seemed as though this was just something that was headed for disaster. But now, not only did their relationship not last, and with the two separated, Linda’s exploring. Well…exploring other very, very young fish in the sea.

I know what you’re thinking, “she’s moving on already?” Oh yes. Not JUST moving on, but dating a 19 year old former classmate of both her son and daughter. This one is young enough that she should be changing his diapers instead of dating him. Brook Hogan, daughter of Linda Hogan stated, “It freaks me out that she’s with him. I totally don’t agree with it, and I definitely don’t like it.” So you thought Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher were bad. Who knew? With the divorce, her son’s eighth month jail sentence which has now become a crazy mess, and now rocking the cradle, what a sorry attempt after the Hulk, Linda. Hmm… Can’t help but wonder what’s next. Looks like Linda is going to be getting more media play than the hulk, who no one seems to care about except to mention Linda is his ex. His limelight time is over and Linda’s is just beginning. Another day in the life of a Hogan.

Does Charlie Sheen have a potty mouth?

Back in April 2005, star of “Two and a Half Men” and ex-husband of Denise Richards, Charlie Sheen left ongoing rude and nasty voicemails on Denise’s phone. One in particular, dated April 29, 2005 is a voice mail where Sheen ended the call by using both the “C-word” and the “N-word”. In 2005, the two were having a lot of arguments and disputes due to their custody and divorce battle. Recently, some of the voice mails of Sheen’s leaked out to the public. Once notified, Charlie stepped up to apologize.

He wanted to make it clear that he was truly sorry and that he apologizes to Denise, and all who were offended by his crude statements. Sheen stated to a reporter that he was “especially sorry” to Tony Todd, a close friend who happens to be African American and former best man of his first two weddings. He later stated that his children didn’t show up to his custodial visit without reason. Apparently, even after 3 years, karma can still catch up with you. Who knew? Hopefully this is something that can be fixed and his apology will be accepted by everyone. Guess we will just have to wait and see.

I’m talking about A Shot at Love with Thien Thanh Thi Nguyen, better known as Tila Tequila, former playboy model and internet diva that even tops ‘Tom’ on MySpace.com.

She’s recently taken credit for California’s lift on the gay marriage ban, believing her show has given America a delightful, yet ‘positive’ new spin on same-sex couples to the ever apprehensive. Oh wait? Did I say ‘delightful’? Okay okay… even though this season has been caked with loads of iron fists, tattoo parlors, and even a belly button piercing to prove their love for the temptress Tila, I can’t help but continue to be a sucker for this show! Just like many viewers out there (I know I’m not alone!) A Shot at Love has kept America in suspense to see just who Tila will choose this time, and whether it will be a guy or girl.

No matter what, Tila has ultimately got same-sex America and the ‘not so sure but its cool!’ on its toes as the battle of sexes carries on. The finale of A Shot at Love 2 shows next Tuesday 10 P.M on MTV.

Sulu beams down at Gaylifornia

It’s a remarkable history in the United States, but more in particularly, in the liberated state of California as George Takei, “Sulu” of “Star Trek”, obtains the new gay marriage license with partner Brad Altman. Takei and his partner have been together for 21 years, working co-inside as business partners and lovers. Talk about not mixing business with personal! But Takei and Altman couldn’t have done it better by stepping up with thousands of same-sex couples just waiting to get married. Like so many before them, gays and lesbians have been patiently waiting for this moment to be able to legally and officially tie-the-knot.

Takei, who had hoped to propose to Altman first, was quite surprised that he was beat at the bended knee. The lovely couple has set their wedding date to be on September 14, 2008, as the gender-neutral license is good for only 90 days. If only I could go! But just as Takei had said it,

May equality live long and prosper

and I salute him with the same Star Trek Vulcan greeting.

Oh, god, I thought the Simple Life was nothing but simple Torture, but apparently, we have not had enough of Nicole Richie OR Paris Hilton. But… let me focus on one half of this Dastardly Duo here.

The girlfriend of Benji Madden of Good Charlotte (the band) and a mother now from Joel Madden, who is… Benji’s twin brother (Figure that one out) has now decided that we need a SECOND Nicole Ritchie. She just released to EW Hollywood that she has been trying to pitch an idea that’s going to make her travel around the country and choose seven girls from around the country who will then be tested, poked, prodded and generally submitted to the reality TV evaluation process. One of these girls will then be like Nicole Richie and become famous for… doing nothing.

Yeah, I know, it is, in fact, as truly terrifying as it sounds. Not only is Paris Hilton in talks to get her own little slice of TV hell, but now, so is Richie.

I think I need a big drink. Or some Alka Seltzer. Maybe both?

No, not really. But, I find this hilarious. I mean, I know there’s such a thing as intellectual property, and there’s such a thing as creating a new technique, but the big rapper Jay-Z is getting SUED for one of the most RIDICULOUS things in the world I think you can get sued for. Rapping. At a whisper. Because, y’know, when I think of things I wanna sue someone for, WHISPERING is totally what I consider marketable. Bitch, please.

Mitchell Rose, apparently this freakin’ skilled “Whisper rapper” is claiming that Jay-Z got a CD from him that had some of this whisper rapping on it and now, Jay-Z was supposed to credit him and thereby pay his butt. Riiiight, because, y’know, that’s totally a honed technique. No, I’m sorry. That would be rapping. While whispering. Is this guy gonna try to hold classes on “Whisper-rapping” now?

Well, at the moment, Jay-Z is staying quiet about it, but I frankly don’t blame the guy. After looking at the suit, it looks like he could be giving this sucker $88 million if it doesn’t work out right. Yeesh.
